About the Artist
At a very young age, artist Dana Mario Wood was encouraged to go outdoors to explore, build and invent physical and imaginative spaces. He connected with his surroundings as he studied and sketched what he saw and felt. On more than one occasion, he expressed that he was already familiar with the spaces that the magical creatures of Firefly Forest existed in. Similar to author James Herriot, Dana’s admiration of All Creatures Great and Small is captured through his style of expressive, meandering and magical line quality. As a father of four, the magic continues while he cherishes the unbridled imagination of his children. For those who believe, the possibilities are limitless.
